There's no question that Taylor Swift's Red is the biggest album of 2012, but there were plenty of other noteworthy releases this year.

Tim McGraw was finally able to release his Emotional Traffic album, which had been held up due to legal issues with his former record label. Lionel Richie gathered some of his country friends to re-record some of his biggest hits as duets for Tuskegee -- one one of the most acclaimed collections of the year. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton made history by winning the Female and Male Vocalist of the Year awards for a third consecutive year at the 2012 CMAs in November. They also shared Song of the Year trophies for “Over You.” Although three married couples in the past have been nominated for Song of the Year, Blake and Miranda were the first win.

Here's a rundown of 2012's major country tours:

  • Brad Paisley performed to over a million fans on his Virtual Reality tour, which included guests Kristen Kelly, Jana Kramer, Love and Theft, Scotty McCreery, Easton Corbin and The Band Perry.
  • Dierks Bentley staged the Country and Cold Cans tour, which included a sold-out gig at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Dierks’s bus Old Goldie also logged its millionth mile on the road traveling “Home” to the U.S. after a string of Canadian dates. Special guests included Will Hoge, Eli Young Band andCadillac Black.
  • Eric Church experienced 25 sell-outs on his first headlining arena tour, titledBlood, Sweat and Beers, which included openers Brantley Gilbert, Kip Moore andJustin Moore. His 2013Night Train shows at Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and Athens, Georgia’s Sanford Stadium are already sold-out.
  • Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw staged the 23-date Brothers of the Sun tour, which closed with record-breaking numbers. The 111,209 tickets sold for the closing dates at Foxboro, Massachusetts’s Gillette Stadium made it the biggest country event in New England history. Jake Owen and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals were the special guests. Tim also gave away a mortgage-free home to a deserving military family at each tour stop.
  • Rascal Flatts staged an all-band tour with Edens Edge, Eli Young Band andLittle Big Town. The groups even recorded a version of Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band" for the trek, which continues in 2013 withThe Band Perry.
  • Sugarland left their set list up to the fans on the In the Hands of the Fans tour. The duo chose their songs on the fly each night with requests from the audience via Twitter, hand-made signs and online polls.

TAYLOR SWIFT: Red Makes History:

Taylor Swift made album sales history with her new album Red, which scored the highest sales week in more than a decade. According to SoundScan figures, the 16-track collection moved 1.208 million copies its first week out, which was best sales week since Eminem’s The Eminem Showsold 1.3 million units in 2002.

Taylor now has two of the three biggest one-week sales totals for any country album in the SoundScan era. Garth Brooks’s Double Live sold 1.08 million in 1998, and Speak Now sold more than 1.04 million in 2010.

As of the December 5th, Red has topped theBillboard Country Albums chart for six consecutive weeks.

GEORGE STRAIT: Announces Final Tour:

George Strait announced in September that he'll go on the road one last time. The two-year Cowboy Rides Away tour kicks off on January 18th in Lubbock, Texas with Martina McBride opening dates for 2013.

George says, “This is going to be a very special, emotional tour for me. Everywhere we’re going holds fond memories, and I’m looking forward to paying my respects.”
George isn't hanging up the mic, though -- he'll continue to record and play select dates.

TOP ALBUMS OF 2012

There's no question that Taylor Swift's Red is the biggest album of 2012, but there were plenty of other noteworthy releases this year.

Tim McGraw was finally able to release his Emotional Traffic album, which had been held up due to legal issues with his former record label. Lionel Richie gathered some of his country friends to re-record some of his biggest hits as duets for Tuskegee -- one one of the most acclaimed collections of the year. And after 13 years together, Little Big Town ditched their bridesmaid status by releasing Tornado -- the album that spawned the biggest hit of the summer, "Pontoon."
Here's a list of 2012's biggest albums:
  • Tim McGraw - Emotional Traffic
  • Dierks Bentley - Home
  • Lionel Richie - Tuskeegee
  • Rascal Flatts - Changed
  • Carrie Underwood - Blown Away
  • Kenny Chesney - Welcome to the Fishbowl
  • Zac Brown Band - Uncaged
  • Little Big Town - Tornado
  • Jason Aldean - Night Train
  • Taylor Swift - Red
  • Toby Keith - Hope on the Rocks

BLAKE, REBA, TAYLOR: Country Stars Take on TV, Movies and Broadway:

Some of country music's biggest stars proved their versatility by dabbling in other areas of the entertainment business in 2012.
  • Blake Shelton continues to mentor future stars on NBC's The Voice.
  • Keith Urban took on the same role in Australia's version of the show. Keith enjoyed working with up-and-coming artists so much that he took over one of the vacant judging positions on the next season of American Idol, which premieres in January.
  • Reba McEntire has a flair for comedy, and she's showing it off on her new sitcom,Malibu Country, which also stars Lily Tomlin.
  • Billy Ray Cyrus has taken his acting chops to Broadway for a limited engagement as Billy Flynn in the musical Chicago.
  • Miranda Lambert and the other Pistol Annies made an appearance on the reality show "Say Yes to the Dress."
  • Taylor Swift voiced Audrey in the animated film Dr. Seuss's The Lorax.

KITTY, DOC, EARL, JOE: In Memoriam:

   ?
The country music community lost iconic hit-makers Joe South, Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs and the Queen of Country Music Kitty Wells this year.

A Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer, Joe passed on September 5th at his Buford, Georgia home. He was 72. He's best known for penning the Grammy-winning hits "Games People Play" and "Rose Garden." He can also be heard on Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools," Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde album and Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sounds of Silence."

Doc passed in May at age 89. He'd recently had abdominal surgery. Doc recorded more than 60 albums and participated in the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's 1972 album Will the Circle Be Unbroken. In 2004, the Recording Academy awarded him a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Banjo-picking legend Earl died of natural causes at age 88 in March. Famous for his three-finger picking style, Earl joined Bill Monroe as a member of the Blue Grass Boys in 1945. In 1948, Earl formed the Foggy Mountain Boys with Lester Flatt. The group later became Flatt and Scruggs.

The true Queen of Country Music, Kitty passed at her Nashville home in July. She was 92. Kitty became the first female singer to top the country charts with "It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels." She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1976 and was its oldest living member.

--Billy Mac: Your Tuesday Night Blog

How many marriages crumble because of HORRIBLE FLATULENCE? Seriously. Bad gas is silent but deadly . . . to marital bliss.

On Sunday, 46-year-old Michael Manatis of SpartanburgSouth Carolina was apparently producing some pretty horrific flatulence. And it infuriated his wife, 41-year-old Shannon Manatis.

She ended up grabbing a can of vanilla-scented LYSOL . . . and SPRAYED her husband with it.

But it got in his eyes. And he responded by throwing something at Shannon. He says it was a plastic water bottle . . . she says it was a glass of iced tea.

Anyway, the cops came to sort it out. Michael explained he had an upset stomach and told them the story. The cops thought the liquid splashed on the wall from Michael's throw looked clear like water, not tea.

They consulted with a local judge and ended up deciding there wasn't enough probable cause for any arrests.

When it comes to dropping dimes in the jukebox . . . country music dominates! The company TouchTunes ranked the total plays from over 57,000 jukeboxes as well as their mobile app and the Top Five songs of 2012 were all country artists. Here's your Top 5:

1) "Dirt Road Anthem", Jason Aldean

2) "Drink In My Hand", Eric Church

3) "Pontoon", Little Big Town

4) "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)", Luke Bryan

5) "Red Solo Cup", Toby Keith

As for overall numbers, country came up strong there too. JASON ALDEAN was the most-played jukebox ARTIST of the year . . . and other country artists in the Top 10 were Toby Keith, Eric Church, Johnny Cash . . . and the Zac Brown Band.

AMAZING TRIBUTES TO THE FALLEN:

With the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown CT, NBC's The Voice and Saturday Night Live have both done amazing jobs focusing on the the only part of this whole situation that needs to have mention which is the memory of the victims. Their lives were cut short by a madman who will answer for his deed for the rest of eternity... Now that I am off of my soap-box check out both of these amazing tributes....

Billy Mac: In Tonight's Blog: Your D.A. of The Day is *AHEM* Blowin' Up... Top 1

Yeah, um . . . this guy is NEVER going to live this down.....EVER...

On Tuesday, 22-year-old Ben Greene was in
SpartanburgSouth Carolina and went to a Spencer's Gifts store. He decided to try to shoplift an INFLATABLE ADULT LOVE DOLL. That's embarrassing enough. But the specific blow-up doll makes it WAY worse. The doll is called "Finally Mylie" . . . and it's modeled after MILEY CYRUS.

The doll is unauthorized, of course. They spell Miley "M-y-l-i-e," and the box art features a woman who looks a LOT like Miley holding a guitar.

Benjamin was caught taking the doll out of the box and putting it in his coat. He was arrested for misdemeanor shoplifting. If he'd been willing to BUY the doll, Spencer's was selling it for only $19.99.

?

As soon as news came down of the horrific shooting tragedy in
Connecticut, country artists hit the social media to express their sympathy, rage and compassion. Here are a few of their thoughts. In some cases, I've combined several of their posts.

--Brad Paisley: "I spent 15 minutes yelling at the top of my lungs about what happened inConnecticut. I'm as mad as I am sad. Enough. Enough!!!"

--Carrie Underwood: "All my thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies go out to the families inConnecticut dealing with this tragedy. There are no words."

--Taylor Swift: "I'm heartsick about the senseless tragedy and praying for the families of the children and teachers who lost their lives. Unthinkable."

--Tim McGraw: "As parents, Faith and I cannot even imagine the horror that all of these families face. Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with all that have been affected by this tragedy."

--Blake Shelton. "Stand strong and stand united everyone. We are Americans and we are better than this. What a sad, sad disgusting day this is. My heart is so heavy right now. I can't shake it off."

--Miranda Lambert: "I'm praying for those babies and all the victims of the Connecticutshooting. May God bring peace to the families."

--Charlie Daniels: "Pray for the families of the victims of the shooting in Connecticut. Pure satanic evil walks among us."

Let the name of the person responsible for these terrible acts fall on deaf ears and let us remember those poor little angels and the heroic teachers who died trying to protect them and keep them safe.

KELLY CLARKSON didn't beat around the bush on Saturday when she Tweeted, quote, "I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever."

That man is Brandon Blackstock . . . the son of Kelly's manager Narvel Blackstock. Narvel is married to REBA. Yep... THAT REBA...

WORST BIRTHDAY SURPRISE....EVER.....

One of TAYLOR SWIFT'S all-too-frequent stalker incidents got scary last Friday when a guy named Jacob Kulke was arrested at her house in NashvilleTaylor was not home when it happened.

Kulke climbed a fence PLUS a security gate . . . and was on the property when he was arrested. He told police he was Taylor's boyfriend . . . and that he was there to celebrate her birthday, which was Thursday.

And here's the real scary part: Kulke also said he was communicating with someone in the house through social media . . . and that after his release, he planned to "continue to have contact" with them.

--Billy Mac: Tonight's DA has some things to IRON out...Jana and Brantley Skate

WEB NUGGETS:

SOUTHERN ACCENTS....LESS INTELLIGENT???

According to a study by the UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO, kids as young as five years old associate regional accents with stereotypes about people from that part of the country.

Kindergarteners in CHICAGO listened to people speaking in northern and southern accents . . . and then they were asked what they thought of each speaker.

Most of the kids thought that the speaker with the northern accent was more intelligent and, quote, "in charge". They thought the person with the southern accent was nicer . . . but they'd rather have the northern person as a friend.

When they did the same experiment with kids in TENNESSEE, who probably either had a southern accent or heard it more often, they didn't see any difference in intelligence or niceness based on the accent.

WHEN YOU'RE UP WITH THE BABY

What do parents do when they're awake with a newborn in the middle of the night? We would have assumed, ya know . . . actually watchin' the baby or somethin'.

But that wasn't an option in this survey. Here are the activities that parents do in the middle of the night.

#1) Reading.

#2) Online shopping.

#3) Watching TV.

#4) Listening to music.

#5) Catching up on work.

#6) Exercising.

The online shopping one is the one that's growing the fastest. Amazon says it's seen a 78% rise in people buying baby stuff in the middle of the night over the past year.

HOLIDAY HOOKIE

The idea of going shopping this weekend is HORRIBLE. The crowds are going to be in full force and it's going to get ugly. So wouldn't it be better to shop when places are WAY emptier . . . like tomorrow morning?

In a new survey, one in seven people say they're considering FAKING A SICK DAY in the next two weeks to squeeze in their gift buying, or to wait for packages at home.

About 20% of people surveyed say they haven't even STARTED their shopping yet.

So . . . I find it very interesting that the very day I find this story, our receptionist has called out sick... Hmmm, all I can say is I better get something good for Christmas this year from her... Jus' sayin....

WORST BABY NAMES OF THE YEAR

I'm all about unique, but . . . um this might be taking things just a little too far.

The website Babycenter.com put together a list of the most unusual baby names of 2012. At least two parents independently reported giving every name on the list, which means none of the names are a one-off fluke.

Here are our picks for the 10 worst girls and boys names of 2012.

For Girls: Excel, Jagger, Kaixin, Monalisa, Queenie, Rogue, Shoog, Thinn, Yoga, and Zealand.

And for Boys: Burger, Cajun, Cello, Cobain, Donathan, Espn, Four, Goodluck, Haven'T, Hippo.

You can see all the other names on the list here.

What We Hate About The Holidays

December 13th is just about the perfect time for holiday burnout: We've been going strong since Thanksgiving, we're deep in the middle of unavoidable holiday oversaturation, and there are still two weeks until ChristmasWhich means it's the perfect time for a survey like this. Here's the definitive list of the top 11 things people hate about the holidays, courtesy of a poll by Harris Interactive.

#1) Crowds . . . including traffic, crowds in parking lots, and people in stores.

#2) How early stores start putting out holiday decorations and displays.

#3) A focus on gifts and not the spirit of the holidays.

#4) People cutting in line.

#5) Travel prices being so incredibly high.

#6) Too much holiday music everywhere.

#7) Pressure to give gifts to more people than you really want to.

#8) People leaving their Christmas decorations up until February or March.

#9) People who double dip at holiday parties. (???)

#10) Stores that don't give out gift boxes.

#11) Family members or friends who don't bring anything when you're hosting a party.

A few things that came close but didn't make the list include hangovers, gaining weight, people being artificially friendly, TV commercials where cars are wrapped in giant bows, and taking down decorations and lights.
The survey also found 11% of people say they don't have ANY issues with the holidays.

TURN IT DOWN!!!!

For a while now, there's been talk about stopping advertisers from jacking up the volume on their commercials . . . and now it's finally happening.
Congress recently passed something called the
CALM Act, which requires ads to remain within just two decibels of the programming around them. The rule went into effect last night at midnight. Before now, there were no restrictions keeping advertisers from making loud commercials to try to get your attention. If you catch any blaring ads, you can report them by calling 1-888-TELL-FCC.

It was a little over a week ago when JANA KRAMER spent her birthday in the hospital after coming down with a nasty flu. And there was BRANTLEY GILBERT at her side . . . blowing up surgical gloves.

But Jana got her strength back real fast because the next day Brantley took her ice-skating.

Jana told SheKnows.com, quote, "The day after my birthday was awesome. My boyfriend rented out an ice rink and took me figure skating."

The real story here is that Jana is finally referring to Brantley as her boyfriend. Remember when the best she could come up with was they were "having a good time."

JASON ALDEAN is now popular enough that somebody is in his ear about giving Hollywood a shot. And he's open to the idea.

He says, quote, "I may dabble in some things here and there. Movies or whatever, maybe, here and there.

"It's one of those things where if I do a movie, I don't even know if I'm any good. So, I may do one and it sucks and I'm a horrible actor, and I'll never do another one.

"We'll see. But you'll probably see me dabbling in some stuff like that, I think, in the future . . . but music will always kinda be my main focus."

One more thing about Jason Aldean: He's joined the west coast lineup of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve". (Hollywood Reporter)

LEANN RIMES must be prone to stomach aches, sinus congestion and muscle pain . . . because her tour rider requires promoters to stock her dressing room with Pepto-Bismol, Mucinex, and Advil Liqui-Gels.

Okay, a bowl of green M & M's and circus monkey, I get. But . . . Pepto and Advil? (The Smoking Gun)

TOBY KEITH released a Christmas version of his "Red Solo Cup" video. It's kind of lame . . . other than the snowboarding Santa, so there's that.

Six elementary school students in Green Bay, Wisconsin were given the opportunity to sing Christmas songs with KENNY ROGERS. (Full Story)

This sounds like something straight out of a cartoon. But if it's true, it's a GREAT way to get out of doing housework . . . PERMANENTLY.

32-year-old Tomasz Packowski of Elbag, Poland was getting a lot of heat from his wife, Lila, about being USELESS around the house. So he decided to prove that he could do housework.

He grabbed all their clothes that needed ironing, set up the ironing board in front of the TV, turned on some boxing, and cracked a beer. Then he started ironing while he watched and drank.

At some point, his cell phone rang. And adding that FOURTH multitasking element was too much. So when he went to answer the phone, he accidentally held THE IRON up to his EAR instead.

When he ran to the bathroom to splash some cold water on it, he accidentally ran into the door, and got a black eye.

He was hospitalized with serious burns on his face, but is expected to fully recover. And he says he's never doing housework again . . . quote, "It's harder than it looks. I really respect what my wife does now.

WEIRD BUT EFFECTIVE WAYS TO NOT GET SICK THIS WINTER

When it comes to avoiding the flu, you probably already know the main things you have to do: Wash your hands a lot, get a flu shot, and duck when someone's about to sneeze on you.

But the website iVillage.com has a list of tricks you might NOT know about. Here are the top five weird ways to avoid getting sick.

#1) Keep Your Feet Warm.
Researchers think cold feet might cause the blood vessels in your SINUSES to tighten up. Which makes it harder for white blood cells to get to your mucus membranes. And that's where most viruses sneak in.

#2) After You Wash Your Hands, Don't Dry Them with a Towel.
This isn't the ECO-FRIENDLY thing to do, but you're less likely to get the flu from someone in your own home if you use PAPER towels.

#3) Cut Your Fingernails.
Researchers at the
University of Michigan tested the nails of doctors and nurses, and found that you're more likely to have bacteria under them if they grow longer than three millimeters past the tips of your fingers.

Only 18% of people with fingernails SHORTER than that had a significant amount of bacteria under their nails.

#4) Take a Few Deep Breaths Each Day.
You have to breathe in for three seconds from your diaphragm, so your stomach pushes out. Then exhale for three seconds, and do it three times in a row, a few times every day.

If you make it a habit, some research shows you're less likely to get pneumonia.

#5) Don't Get Drunk.

One drink won't hurt. But too many can mess with your white blood cells' ability to fight off infections. And not just WHILE you're drunk. It affects your immune system for up to 24 hours afterward.

COUPLES...BEWARE OF COLD RAGE:

It's supposed to keep getting colder this month. Which means it's time for . . . COLD RAGE.

It's a serious epidemic sweepeing the nation. I think DR. PHIL is talking about it next week. Ya'll heard about it right here first!

A new survey found the top five arguments people have because of cold weather. And looking at this list, they make total sense. Check 'em out . . .

#1) Whether or not to turn up the heat.

#2) Whether or not to open the windows to let fresh air in.

#3) Whether or not to turn down the heat to save money.

#4) Someone using up all the hot water.

#5) Someone taking a hot bath instead of a quick shower.

The survey also found the five most EXTREME things we do to keep warm . . . and most of them would give someone ANOTHER reason to be angry. Check 'em out . . .

#1) Wearing your significant other's warm socks.

#2) Stealing all of the covers in the middle of the night.

#3) Wearing a scarf and hat inside the house.

#4) Putting your cold feet on your significant other in bed to warm them up.

#5) Cuddling with SOMEONE ELSE

RollingStone.com put out their list of the Top Five Country Albums of 2012 . . . and they admittedly favored the "down-home type".

1) "100 Proof", Kellie Pickler

2) "Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran", Jamey Johnson

3) "Tuskegee", Lionel Richie

4) "Beer for Breakfast", JB and the Moonshine Band

5) "All Over The Road", Easton Corbin

You can find the reasons they chose each one at RollingStone.com. There's also an audio link for you to sample five different tracks from each album.

The LUKE BRYAN fix was in at last night's "American Country Awards". He came in with nine nominations . . . and WON EVERY SINGLE award he was nominated for . . . including ACA Artist of the Year. I've never seen anyone clean up like that.

Other winners included CARRIE UNDERWOOD who took home Female Artist of the Year . . . and LAUREN ALAINA who won Best New Artist. MIRANDA LAMBERT'S song "Over You" won Single of the Year and Female Music Video of the Year.

By the way, was it me or did somebody send a memo out to wear backwards baseball caps? I saw one on DIERKS BENTLEY, KIP MOORE and LEE BRICE . . . and then I stopped looking. Oh, and here's a bright spot: TAYLOR SWIFT didn't win anything.

You can see all the winners and losers here.

Some fans put together a Facebook page hoping to make enough noise for BLAKE SHELTON and MIRANDA LAMBERT to get the call from "Saturday Night Live".

They'd like Blake to host . . . and Miranda to be the musical guest.

TIM MCGRAW and FAITH HILL drew some pretty big star power to their Saturday night Soul 2 Soul show at the Venetian in Las Vegas.

According to the "Las Vegas Sun", BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and his wife PATTI SCIALFA were there . . . andTOM HANKS and his wife RITA WILSON also caught the show.

This may or may not be the first public kiss between TAYLOR SWIFT and ONE DIRECTION'S HARRY STYLES. Right before she hit the stage at a concert last weekend she leaned over and . . . well, nuzzled him. Here's thelink. Click on the arrow.

-Billy Mac: Today's DA Of The Day

On Sunday night, 26-year-old Jared Gurman of Williston Park, on Long Island in New York, watched the show "The Walking Dead" with his girlfriend, 27-year-old Jessica Gelderman.

After the show, Jared and Jessica got into an argument about whether the show could come true . . . and whether a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE could actually happen.

Apparently, Jared was POSITIVE that zombies could start taking over the Earth one day. Jessica wasn't convinced, and wasn't taking him seriously.

The argument escalated . . . and ended with Jared pulling out his .22-caliber ASSAULT RIFLE and SHOOTING Jessica in the back.

She suffered a shattered rib, a pieced lung, and a pierced diaphragm. On the plus side, at least she proved she wasn't a zombie.

Jared realized he'd just made the biggest mistake of his life, and drove her to the hospital. She's in serious but stable condition, and he was arrested for attempted second-degree murder. Apparently there ARE brain eating zombies....Or this guy is a couple burgers short of a sack lunch... I'm going with option B.

--Billy Mac: YOUR house in a Snowglobe - The Honeymoon IS over - Honesty ISN'T t

Wanna See Your House IN A Snowglobe?

This is SOOOO cool! See your house . . . in a SNOW GLOBE! Click on the picture, put in your ADDRESS and ZIP CODE . . . then click the “SHAKE” button.

So IS the Honeymoon over before it even begins??

Turns out the "Honeymoon Period" in marriage is a MYTH. You're going to be INSTANTLY miserable for a while.

A new study out of Deakin University in Australia found that the first year of marriage is actually the HARDEST.

People report the LOWEST levels of happiness in their first year of marriage . . . an average of 74 on a scale of one to 100. By year two, that goes up to 78.4. And after 40 years, it's up to 80.

But . . . as hard as the first year is, it still makes people happier than staying single. People who were never married average a 72 out of 100 in happiness, which is two points lower than people in their first year of marriage.

People who are separated or divorced reported the lowest levels of happiness, an average of 69 out of 100.

Why is the first year of marriage so hard? The researchers say it may be like a WEDDING HANGOVER. Quote, "After the big day, all couples are left with are the photos, a pile of bills, and the realization you just made that huge life decision." (Sydney Morning Herald)

Honesty The Best Policy??? Apparently NOT in THESE Professions

With the way Americans feel about Congress today, this has to feel like a win for them. In an annual Gallup poll asking Americans to rank different professions by their honesty and ethics, Congress DIDN'T come in last.

Nope, they came in SECOND-to-last.

CAR SALESMEN finished dead last. Only 8% of people say car salespeople have high or very high honesty standards. 10% of people said members of Congress have high or very high honesty standards.

Nurses were rated the most honest profession, at 85%. The rest of the top 10 most honest professions are: Pharmacists, doctors, engineers, dentists, police officers, college professors, members of clergy, psychiatrists, and chiropractors.

The bottom 10 are: Car salespeople, members of Congress, people in advertising, stockbrokers, HMO managers, senators, insurance salespeople, lawyers, state governors, and business executives. (Gallup)

--Billy Mac: TTLD - Taylor N Harry/Charlie Goes OFF on Bob/LBT, Flatts and More!

It's time for TAYLOR SWIFT and HARRY STYLES of
ONE DIRECTION to admit they're either dating . . . because there is no other reason for them to spend this much time together.

There are photos of them hanging out Sunday in New York City's Central Park. They were clearly together but somehow made sure no one saw them touching each other. (PopCrush)

And then there are these photos and video from Britain's Daily Mail. They include some good shots of Harry and Taylor next to the sea lion exhibit. There's also a video on YouTube of them getting into the back of an SUV.

You may have heard about the anti-gun control editorial BOB COSTAS did during halftime of the "Sunday Night Football" game. He was actually quoting a sports writer named Jason Whitlock, who was commenting on the JOVAN BELCHER murder-suicide tragedy. You can watch the editorial here.

Well, the comments lit a fire under CHARLIE DANIELS . . . who took to his Twitter page yesterday with a response.

Charlie wrote, quote, "If Bob Costas is really for gun control he should start by demanding OBAMA to lift his executive privilege order on fast and furious."

Charlie is referring to Operation Fast and Furious . . . where ATF agents purposely allowed licensed arms dealers to sell weapons to illegal buyers, hoping to track the guns to Mexican drug cartels.

--Billy Mac: Here's Tonight's DA Of The Day -- Dude. You are Doing It Wrong.

A German man dialed up a mess of trouble when he was pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving and tried to call his lawyer . . . using the cop's breathalyzer device.

Bernhard Becker was clocked at a random checkpoint, where he was asked to blow into the blood alcohol scanner. He took the device, but began speaking into it instead, leading officers to guess that they'd made the right choice in checking him out.

A police spokesman says, "We didn't really need the reading. There aren't many sober people who'd do that."

-Billy Mac: Brad Pitt Eats.... Lee Brice video will tear you apart...

Anyone Else Notice This?

So I am a big fan of Brad Pitt, and there are two things I have noticed about the "Pitt-ster" (that's what I call him when we hang...) 1. He looks ALOT like a young Robert Redford.... and 2. He is ALWAYS eating or drinking something in his movies and turns out I am not the only one who noticed the latter or my two observation... There is a blog that is dedicated to Brad Pitt eating and drinking things in his movies and advertisments... Check it out HERE

LEE BRICE WANTS YOU TO CRY:

So today Lee Brice released his video for "I Drive Your Truck" and if the song wasn't enough to make you shed a tear he has called in his own brother to star in the video... I forewarn you grab a few tissues - this one could even make honey-badger start to care...... Check it out....

So Flippin' Quarters is NOT a 50-50 Deal???

A math professor at Stanford University has figured out that the odds of heads or tails coming up in a coin flip is NOT 50-50.

He found that whichever side is facing up when the coin is flipped is SLIGHTLY more likely to come up. So if you flip a coin with the heads side up, there's a 51% chance it will land on heads and a 49% chance it will land on tails.

Here's his explanation. Think about when you count numbers, starting from one. No matter where you stop, you'll either have more odd numbers or the same number of odd and even numbers. You'll never have more even than odd.

Wha . . . ?!

It's the same principle with flipping a coin. If you start on heads and flip it, heads will always have the advantage. Tails can pull even, but never pass heads.

So it won't give you a giant advantage in coin flips, but it will give you a SLIGHT advantage. And over the course of a lot of coin flips in your life, it probably WILL help your odds of winning go over 50-50.

Twang Town Lowdown - Brantley N' Jana - Wade Hayes whoops up on cancer and More

Jana and Brantley
On Friday, JANA KRAMER Tweeted a photo of her and BRANTLEY GILBERT with a baby shark they caught while deep-sea fishing. Don't worry, they threw it back.

And then on Saturday, she got hit with a nasty flu virus and couldn't finish her show opening for ALAN JACKSON. Brantley Gilbert was there too . . . and he actually carried her off the stage and, I presume, all the way to the hospital.

Because Jana then started Tweeting photos of her hospital room. In one she's hooked up to an I.V. and holding Brantley's hand.

In another pic, Brantley and Jana's manager are trying to blow up surgical gloves . . . and the final one is Brantley wearing a hospital gown

WYNONNA'S husband CACTUS MOSER was back on the drums performing in her band last Tuesday . . . some three months after losing his leg in a motorcycle accident.

He got a standing ovation from the audience at Wynonna's show in ReginaSaskatchewan. Wynonna told the crowd, quote, "It's been a long way from August 18 to here. It's truly a miracle."

This wasn't a one-off thing either. Cactus is finishing the dates on her Christmas tour . . . and he plans to go back into the studio to play drums on upcoming album, which is due out sometime next year.

Wynonna Tweeted a photo last week of her and Cactus on what looks like a plane ride . . . perhaps to the concert. But the best part is the sleeping guy in the back of the pic.

"The Sun" published a grainy photo that they're claiming is TAYLOR SWIFT and HARRY STYLES of ONE DIRECTION backstage at a concert in London.

It's too blurry to tell if it's real, but if it is, it's first shot of them together since the rumor got out that they're dating.

A coffee table book of photos taken by ALAN JACKSON is going on sale . . . with 100% proceeds benefitting colon cancer patients.

WADE HAYES is kicking cancer in the ass. As you may recall, he was diagnosed with Stage Four colon cancer last year.

Well, last week he posted this status..., "I'm so very happy about the news I got this week. I am cancer-free!".. CONGRATULATIONS to Wade... We wish him continued good health and look forward to hearing new music from him soon!!

--Billy Mac: Tonight's DA Of The Day!!!- That must be some REAL good turkey!

Eating Thanksgiving leftovers for the days after Thanksgiving is arguably better than Thanksgiving itself. But leftovers PROBABLY aren't worth trying to KILL someone.

This happened Thanksgiving weekend, but the charges were just filed.

Last Sunday, 18-year-old Taz Miller of WinchesterIndiana got home to his mother's house after doing Thanksgiving at his grandmother's. He was REALLY looking forward to eating some of his mom's Thanksgiving leftovers.

But he found that his mom's boyfriend, 35-year-old Christopher Teer, had completely finished them. And he was FURIOUS.

So he grabbed a KITCHEN KNIFE, told Christopher, quote, "I'm going to [effing] kill you!" . . . and STABBED HIM in the arm and the thigh.

Fortunately, Christopher didn't die, but he was hospitalized with his stab wounds. Taz was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon.
