Two brothers in Wichita, Kansas won $75,000 on a scratch-off lottery ticket on Friday . . . and it was time to CELEBRATE.
So they went out and spent some of their winnings on marijuana and meth, and went home to party.
The guys were using butane torches to light their bongs . . . and the 27-year-old brother tried to refill the torch. He emptied, quote, "two big ole cans of butane" . . . and when the gas reached the pilot light of the furnace, it EXPLODED.
He was hospitalized with second degree burns to his hands, arms, and chest. And he was wearing a
Kansas Lottery t-shirt when he was admitted to the hospital. He's in stable but serious condition. The other brother was arrested.
I'm going to come right out and say it: MINDY MCREADY was an incredibly disturbed human being. The local sheriff said BEFORE Mindy turned the gun on herself . . . she SHOT and KILLED her late boyfriend David Wilson's DOG.
It even sounds like some kind of ritual killing . . . because the sheriff found Mindy and the dog NEXT TO EACH OTHER on the SAME PORCH where Wilson died last month. It's like she wanted them to be joined in death.
And let's not forget that before she took her own life, Mindy was considered a suspect in Wilson's death.
Here's one last bizarre twist to all of this. Mindy recently hired a private investigator named Danno Hanks . . . yes, like Danno on "Hawaii Five-O" . . . to help her make a video of a song called "I'll See You Yesterday".
Danno thought the video was to help people deal with a loved one's suicide, but now believes he was helping Mindy write her suicide note. E! Online has more on that.
Finally . . . Mindy's PR flaks issued an official death statement. As you'd expect, they're asking for "sensitivity" and "quiet". They're also working out details to do a public memorial in Nashville. You check on that here.
TAYLOR SWIFT is being sued by a Canadian ticket company for KEEPING the $2.5 million they paid her in advance . . . even though the concert was cancelled and she never performed.
Taylor is actually being sued for $1.8 million . . . because that's what the ticket company had to hand out in refunds. So even if Taylor DID fork that over, she would still walk away with some $700,000.
Taylor's people are sounding like weasels about it. A rep told TMZ that their deal was not with the ticket company . . . so she's not responsible for the refunds. They also claim they have not yet seen the lawsuit.
DIERKS BENTLEY invited a Walmart checker named Kayla Slone to the ACMs . . . after seeing her perform DOLLY PARTON'S "Coat of Many Colors" on YouTube.
TIM MCGRAW'S song "Highway Don't Care" features TAYLOR SWIFT on vocals . . . and KEITH URBAN on guitar. But the next time around Tim wants Keith to do some vocals.
Tim said, quote, "We still want to find one to sing together on. It's just finding the right thing." (Country Weekly)
ERIC CHURCH recorded an acoustic version of his song "Like Jesus Does" . . . and then released it on video. You can check it out here.
