Comfort Foods That Fight Fat

It's Chilly out, and that sends us all inside, for the most part. Being inside means we sometimes turn to Comfort foods. If you're trying to lose weight, there are actually some comfort foods that fight fat! Hot Chocolate is packed with anti-oxidants, which cut your levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which makes you fat. Every self respecting southern loves Collard Greens and with good reason, they pack more than your daily recommended doses of vitamins A and K. Those vitamins can strengthen your immune system for healthy metabolism. Strong coffee can slow the release of glucose in your bloodstream after a meal, actually making it healthier for you, if you can stand the caffeine! And momma was definetly right, Chicken Noodle soup or any broth or vegetable based soup will make you eat fewer calories.

We're getting healthier this year, are you? Here's a picture with the fittest man in the World Rich Froning Jr. We're going to look like that when we grow up!!
